NO FIX NO FEE

This policy applies If the technician attempts a repair and is unsuccessful you will not be charged. If a technician has arrived to find that the computer cannot be repaired due to something the customer has done forgetting a password, losing the necessary cable etc… then you will be charged a minimum fee of £14.99. It does not apply if you simply reject the quote and do not want the unit repaired by us. If our quote is rejected you are still liable for paying the minimum fee. Please note that our "NO FIX NO FEE" policy does not apply to machines damaged by a spillage. You will be responsible for any costs incurred if your machine turns out to be damaged through a spillage.

NO CALL OUT CHARGE

This policy applies if we are unable to diagnose or repair the fault. If a technician has diagnosed the problem and can repair it, either on site or by collect and return but the customer does not want the work carried out by us, then a £14.99 charge will be payable for diagnosis. Other times you may get charged is if we arrive at your residents and no one is available.

PROBLEMS WITH REPAIR

Once we have collected your computer and the repair is relatively simple but something goes wrong, i.e. deleting a virus then finding that the computer doesn’t boot or re-installing windows and we have a power cut which damages the power supply unit, we won’t charge you anything extra to the original quote you were given to perform the additional repairs required to get the computer working again. But, for example, if we are re-installing windows and the hard drive packs in all by itself and needs replacing then we will contact you, if you want us to go ahead with the additional repair then the fee will be added to your invoice accordingly.

RETURNING YOUR PC TO YOU

Laptops will only be returned once payment has been received. You may pay online via our Nochex account using your Debit/Credit card. If you have sent in your laptop and have rejected our quote and do not want to carry on with the repair then we will charge a £25 return shipping fee to cover costs, before we will return your unit. Units which do not have the return fee paid for within 6 weeks will become the property of ComputaWorks and be disposed of.

QUOTE

When we quote for a laptop that doesnt power on we are quoting for a mainboard repair. We cannot verify whether other parts of the laptop are in working order for example your battery might not hold a charge, your keyboard may have keys not working. This sometimes happens due to the nature of the fault i.e. a power surge could have occured which took other components with it before blowing a chip on the mainboard. When this occurs we will give you the option of the additional hardware at cost price.

DATA LOSS

We are not responsible for any data lost during repair. Please backup any data possible before sending the unit with us. If we need to change your hard drive or format your pc we will only do this after contacting you and requesting your permission, we will never delete any data unless you have given permission to do so.

The install is only licenced for 1 year after which you will have to purchase a new licence to continue using its security features.
