With the increasing concern of global warming and the new UK legislation designed to address the environmental impact of (WEEE) waste electrical and electronic equipment. Both ComputaWorks and our customers can assist in recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment. We cannot recycle it unless you return it, so our customers have an important role to play in helping us to recycle.

What is WEEE?

  • The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations (WEEE) is a new UK Legislation designed to address the environmental impact of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
  • The regulations been put in place to ensure that products are recycled using best available treatment, recovery and recycling techniques to ensure human health and high environmental protection.

How do I know if my product is covered?

If the symbol shown above is found on any of your goods, it means that the product is covered by the WEEE Regulations. Even if the symbol is not on the product ComputaWorks may still collect the item.

What do you do with your old electrical equipment?

  • When you have finished with a WEEE product, please do not put in your domestic waste bin, as it will not be recycled.
  • Please contact ComputaWorks at support@computaworks.com or call us on 0800 680 9 681 to arrange a collection (normally at no cost to you).

Depending on the amount of equipment that needs to be collected, there will usually be no charge for this service. (This service is only available free in the West Midlands area anything outside this area will be subject to a mileage charge of 30p per mile).
